Solution
Carefully studying from our research findings, we have selected the idea of Supporting Providers of Work-Based Learning to create a space for providers of work-based learning to succeed, and to remain actively engaged. It includes providing scaffolded support so mentors may successfully create compelling content, and also a way in which mentors may receive feedback on the content they created so they are informed whether what they have provided is helpful.
To support providers of work-based learning content, our original idea suggested that the following features to be included:
- Students will give feedback.
- Volunteers will have access to viewing highly rated content produced by other volunteers to give them tangible ideas on how to successfully present the content.
- A template is provided to mentors, demonstrating the structure and flow of site-required content such as onboarding videos.
- Mentors are given examples of career-specific activities to create for students.
